Frequently asked questions
- What chip families do you support for student IDs?
- The full range of 13.56 MHz HF chips that comply with ISO 14443A — including legacy and current high-security families. We can also embed low-frequency (125 kHz) chips for dual-frequency cards used in migration scenarios. See our glossary for chip-by-chip detail.
- Will your cards work with our campus card platform?
- Yes — we issue cards compatible with all major campus card management platforms. The integration is on the chip type, frequency, and idTag format, all of which we pre-encode to match your CSMS. We confirm specifics in writing before production.
- Can students add the card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet?
- Mobile wallet provisioning is handled by your campus card platform, not by the card itself. Our physical cards are designed to coexist with mobile credentials at the reader — the same student can use either tap-to-access mechanism. The reader sees a compatible credential in both cases.
- What's the standard MOQ and lead time?
- Standard minimum order is 500 cards. Lead time is 2-3 weeks for standard photo-printed orders, 4-6 weeks for fully personalized with chip encoding and bespoke key derivation. Express options available for urgent orientation cycles.
- Do you support photo personalization at the manufacturer?
- Yes — we can do bulk photo personalization from a CSV + photo archive you supply. Each card is printed with the cardholder's name, photo, and ID number. We also support on-site personalization workflows for campuses that issue cards in-house.
