Compatibility
| Platform / use case | Supported | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Custom form factors | Yes | Cards, key fobs, wristbands, stickers, and embedded inlays. Any form factor that can house a 13.56 MHz or 125 kHz chip. |
| OEM / ODM private labeling | Yes | Your branding on the product, your packaging, your shipping labels. The end-customer never sees us. |
| Multi-technology hybrid credentials | Yes | Multiple chips in one body — e.g. LF + HF + magstripe + barcode all on a single credential during a migration. |
| Prototype runs | Yes | Sub-500-unit pilot runs available for genuine prototype development before committing to MOQ production. |
Encoding options
- Any 13.56 MHz HF or 125 kHz LF chip family, encoded to your specification
- Custom applet development for contact-chip dual-credential cards
- Pre-programmed UIDs or random with stored mapping
- Custom artwork pipelines (variable data, conditional rendering)
Sample-kit workflow
- 1Initial scoping call — form factor, chip family, encoding scheme, target use case.
- 2Quote with prototype and production tiers.
- 3Prototype run (50-100 units) if needed.
- 4Validation period — you test in the field.
- 5Production run with locked specifications.
What to watch for
Common pitfalls during a card-program rollout and how we address them.
⚠ Form factor doesn't fit your existing reader's interrogation zone
Prototype phase catches this — we adjust antenna design or chip placement before MOQ commitment.
⚠ Project scope expands during prototype to need new features
Scope changes priced and approved in writing before each prototype iteration; no surprise invoices.
Frequently asked questions
- What's the minimum for a true custom project?
- Prototype runs from 50 units, MOQ production from 500. Some custom form factors (specialty wristbands, embedded inlays) have higher minimums driven by tooling costs. We quote MOQ in the scoping call.
- Can you produce a credential that combines my legacy RFID + a new chip family?
- Yes — multi-technology hybrid cards are a common deliverable. We can put both an old proximity chip and a modern AES-128 chip on the same card body, for example, to bridge a migration.
- Do you handle the artwork or do I supply it?
- Both options. You can supply final print-ready artwork, or we can produce designs based on your brand guidelines (additional design fee). For variable data (per-cardholder), provide a CSV + photo archive.
- What's the lead time for a fully custom project?
- 4-8 weeks from spec sign-off. The variable is prototype iterations — projects with a clear spec go faster; projects that need multiple prototype revisions take longer.
- Who owns the IP on a custom design we develop together?
- You own the artwork and any chip-application specifications you provided. We retain the right to use generic technical patterns (e.g. dual-frequency antenna designs) that we've developed across many client projects. Specifics are spelled out in the project contract.
